When a nurse patient advocate speaks to them encouraging research on these life-saving programs, and even 14 months after requesting the training, they behave with all the manipulation techniques common among the worst abusers: deflection, lies, and gaslighting (blaming the victim).

When a registered trauma/flight nurse brings the state DV programs to their attention and they promise officer awareness training, they lie.

When a law which outlines programs with state funding attached is written to make young children survivors, adult survivors and police officers safer too, the Stuart PD is unaware, even 15 years after program implementation.

My next door dumping a big pile of tree clipping on the street. Part of the dumping is on my side of the street. Police came to resolve this issue. She insists the "circle marker" on the street is the indicator for property boundary line. She concluded that there is no violation for dumping of tree clipping on my property. I suggest police offices should be properly educate some of the common knowledge for the "Marker" on the street.

When it comes to knowledge of and implementation of the state laws, programs and processes to keep survivors of Domestic Violence safe, Stuart PD earns a solid F.

I went to police department.filed a report against neighbor..I had four texts from my neighbor, that all described how he was going to shoot me,and beat my son "he's 8".The officer read the texts but didn't document anything,,but for all its worth,,the officer seemed concerned and went strait Over there..This guy is a convicted felon,,and with all the evidence,no arrest was made... if anything happens to me or my son, his name is Stewart "Reed" Damson, age 51..

I just watched Crime watch and saw the police office from Stuart in action against the woman who worked at the spa. This officer's behavior appears to be repetitive and needs to be examined. The police chief in other cities are being fired for not stopping this abusive behavior. This is something Stuart need to consider.

I was written a warning citation by officer Lee for parking my "oversized" f150 in downtown stuart. I've been in downtown quite a few times and never had an issue. I think I've only actually parked on the left side one time before. I did not and still didn't see any sign that said my f150 didn't qualify to park in the regular spot I was in, and I was extremely frustrated when I saw the citation warning on my car. After speaking with dispatch, who quickly connected me with the issuing officer, I felt much better. Officer lee was very friendly and throughly explained why the left side of the road didn't accept vehicles like mine. I really appreciate that I only received a warning and the professionalism displayed. I commend everyone I spoke to throughout my frustration. Thank you so much!

Shame on Stuart PD.

We can only wonder why Stuart PD is so resistant to discuss and implement programs for survivors of domestic violence and why they get so abusively defensive when it is discussed.
