Sure, permits and laws one must adhere to, even though you outright own your property, may seem like a real hassle but they are there for a reason. Building department explained to me inspector would call 30 minutes before arrival. I confirmed the phone number, waited for over two hours, never received a phone call, eventually checked with homeowner to find that inspector had already came and left with no Communication to me. Glad the job past but the unprofessionalism was unacceptable
