Good atmosphere, great coffee, good live music. It’s a perfect place to just sit back and talk with friends. Decent beer selection too, which is always a plus!
Great atmosphere, people and food. I love all their activities, movie night, trivia night, live music, karaoke night. William is a great host. Cadillac is quite entertaining. Ernest Hemingway has nothing on Cadillac!
I know this review will do nothing. And ultimately I will be black listed from blue door because I brought an outside, half full coffee into their grounds and even after stating that I wanted to purchase their products I was rudely forced from the property.
My favorite place in all of Stuart. Amazing live music, record nights, trivia, and lovely staff. Personal pizzas, daily hot and cold tea, great coffee, and a selection of scrumptious deserts and appetizers like brie and bread. The best place in town for a date or a cool place to unwind.
The coffee they use is counter culture which I have always enjoyed. They serve all the usually coffee drinks and teas. They also have beer and wine. The guests are usually well off young ,hippie/hipster/bohemian inspired bunch.
Really this place disgusts me and I'm from Brooklyn so that should speak for itself. The staff at this establishment are so incredibly rude that I cannot process why I was thrown out of the building in the first place.
Apparently their mission is to offend and isolate themselves from anyone other then their normal hipster patrons. I personally know that the owner will see this because he is hyper aware of their Google reviews. I have personally seen him fight with customers both at his establishment and on Google reviews. So Mr.Owner, what is your excuse this time ?
Specifically I am talking about @Page and @Penelopie. These two young immature baristas verbally assaulted me because I brought in a half full cup of coffee from their competitor down the road. I am 25 years old and I have been around the world. I completely understand that usually outside food& beverages from other places are not allowed. But listen to this. I literally said the sentence "this isn't your coffee but I would like to purchase one of yours along with a brownie so I may stay here." Penelopie informed me that this was completely against the rules (as absurd as that sounds). I attempted to reason with the staff but was met with hostility and told to leave. Keep in mind, this was a very public display of disrespect from the staff at blue door cafe. This is unacceptable. I have lived in Stuart for over a year and have personally spent well over 500$ at this establishment in the last year since I enjoyed the atmosphere and movie nights.
I have left hundreds of Google reviews and this is by far my most negative. I wish blue door cafe could see the error of their pretentious, over priced, hipster ways but even the owner is a pretentious old hippie. It's too bad that even when the staff of blue door go on camping retreats they do not use their time together to discuss how to become a better business. They probably just hangout and eat around the camp fire when they really should be evaluating the mission of their business.
